Happy Holidays and New Years

With Christmas just around the corner Beth and I wanted to wish you all a very merry holiday and a happy new year.

We are just starting to pack and get ready for our departure on Dec 31, 2005. We are looking forward to the journey but always have a little dread of the long flight. We arrive in Brisbane on Jan 4th in the evening.

This year we booked 109 clients for Australia and NZ.
9 went on points
8 went with Qantas direct LAX to Brisbane
2 went with Air NZ
2 went with Cathay Pacific
88 went with Singapore Air.
2 were from Toronto
13 from BC
82 from Alberta
The departure dates for this varied with the majority going Jan 30, and Feb 6th. No one departs Dec to Jan 30. Some went in the fall (10), others going in small batches near the end of Feb.

During the month of Janurary please continue to read the golf blog. It is here that I post weather conditions, golf course conditions, any changes in procedures at the airports or any changes to my contact number in Australia.

I will be on the Sunshine Coast for the month of January talking to the golf club directors about possible discounted play for next year. The Sunshine coast is where we offer unlimited golf at the introductory rates. There are also a number of outstanding courses in this area but they are pricey, around the $75-100 range. Accommodation is also more expensive here. For these two reasons the Gold Coast is a better value.

I think everyone should take the time and go to the Sunshine Coast for a one or two night stay. Play Twin Waters ( we get 2 for 1 there) as it is ranked number 23 in the country. After golf explore the coast and maybe stay in Noosa or Mooloolaba.
