Back to Australia

Tomorrow is January 1, 2007 and Beth and I depart Edmonton for our 8th visit to Australia. December was a decent month as it did not get too cold here in Edmonton but the snow from November still lingers. It will be nice to see green grass again.

For those of you traveling with Air Canada to Vancouver of Los Angles remember you can go on line and print your boarding pass up to 24 hours prior to departure. This will speed up your check in at the airport. You will need your airplane number. If you do not have an airplane number then you need to use locator number that is located on your etched or on the paper ticket. Your credit card number will not work as your ticket was paid for by B&B Travel.

We will spend three days in Vancouver where we will meet our new grandchild, Sharon Ann for the first time. Cam and Lisa had their first child on Dec. 19th. Cam's only regret is that he can not return to Australia to help me during February.

We are once again traveling with Singapore Air Lines, our favorite airline. This trip we are just over night the one night as we picked a flight that lands at 11:30pm and leaves again at 09:55.
Yes it is a long flight but time does pass and the more times we make this trip the easier it seems. For me the flight is nine movies in length. Three to Soul Korea, three to Singapore and three to Brisbane.

It is always nice to get off the plane in Singapore and fell the heat and humidity even though it is midnight. The drive into the city is very pretty with lots of flowers and beautiful trees.

For the month of January we will be staying in the west end of Brisbane. For those that do not know, Beth and I do house exchanges and house sitting while we are there. This helps to cut the cost.

You will receive golf reports from courses we have not played in and around Brisbane. We also hope to play some of favorite course north of the city as well. So watch for pictures and golf reports as well as reports on Brisbane the city.

But before we get on the plane for down under, I have four courses to map in Langley for the hand held golf gps system. If you have not looked at www.golfincanada.ca in a while you will see there have been a number of new courses added as well as a number of golf clubs that have request mapping.

Please continue to check the blog every now and then as this is where you will find updated information on weather, courses, airports and other items of interest to you.
