Up to date

It has been a while since I got a chance to post a new chapter to the blog. Since we moved from Brisbane we have not had a computer to use. My Blackberry is great but it is difficult to type a long blog. The pictures that are included in this blog are from the Murwillumbah course. A grate value.

We have about 50% of the golfers here now. They are all settled in and have played a few rounds of golf. We had a very good golf tournament on Wednesday with 21 golfers. The low men's score was 79 and the ladies had 92. The low men's net was 67 and that was recorded by a lawn bowler with rental clubs. I might have to take up lawn bowls so I can putt better.

We had a great day with the temperature at 29 and low humidity and a nice breeze. Club Banora did another great job of hosting our event.

We have managed to get out to some of the high end courses this year and Beth and I have enjoyed this. By high end I mean, Palm Meadows at $110, Hope Island (Thompson course) at $130, and the Glades(Norman course) @$160. The best value is Palm Meadows twilight for $65.

Ratings for courses are:
Coolangatta River: Fairways 8, greens 7, tees 6, value 8 ($25), club house 8, scenery 7, others, 7, difficulty 8, staff 8 and design 8 for a total of 75

Hope Island; F10, G 9, T 9, Value 8($130), C 9, Se 8, O 9, Diff 8, Staff 8, Design 9 for total of 87

Park Woods: F6, G 7, T5, Value 7($25), C6, Se7, O7, Diff 8, Design 8 for total of 69

Murwillumbah:F8,G9, T7, Value 9($20), C6, Se 9,O7, Diff 8, Staff 8, Design 8, for total of 79

The ladies LPGA are in town and drawing good size crowds. Beth and I are going over to watch the final day on Sunday.
